Cort began making guitars ever since 1960 and have since made millions of electric and acoustic instruments for a huge range of brands including Ibanez, Aria, PRS SE and many many more. With so many huge guitar brands choosing Cort’s factories it’s clear that they’ve become pretty good at making instruments and every ounce of their experience and expertise is poured into the Cort branded guitars available today! Cort are also unafraid to innovate, always offering stylish and comfortable new features from the cutting edge of guitar design. Enter the Cort GA PA Bevel Nat which combines a solid spruce top with pau ferro sides and bowled back. The top has a really cool looking bevel which makes for a much more ergonomic playing feel. That bowl back is a really clever innovation too. It acts like a satellite dish and allows a guitar with a full, mellow tone and sparkling highs to also project beautifully meaning it will stand out well in a group or wow audiences at acoustic gigs! If you’d prefer to plug in then you won’t be disappointed with this guitar’s incredible pickup and preamp system, supplied by acoustic amplification masters LR Baggs. We also love the spec choice. There are die cast gold tuners with classy black knobs which really match this guitar’s premium looks, as well as a bi-level bridge with ebony pins and bone nut and saddle. Bi-level bridges are great because they mean the bridge pins are lower compared to the saddle, allowing more material to be removed from the saddle without a negative impact on the break angle. If that was all double dutch to you then essentially this type of bridge means your action will be lower and your guitar will sound better! The bone nut and saddle are also nice touches and give excellent sustain and tone transfer. On top of great spec choices, everything about this guitar looks incredible. The ebony bridge pins and exquisite abalone body binding, rosette decoration and fretboard inlays are beautifully finished and the combination of gloss body and satin neck looks classy and feels great too.
There’s loads more we could tell you about this guitar- the action is low and comfortable, the tone is rich and smooth and it really sings when amplified. However there’s only so much you can appreciate from a description- this really is a guitar that has to be played to be believed so call in to Finale Guitar between 10-5 any day except Wednesday to try it out, or check out now to arrange affordable postage anywhere in the UK.
