Ever since their creation in 1916, dreadnought style guitars have found favour for their huge sound and powerful bass, beloved for everything from big strumming to bluegrass! Turner Guitars’ 40CE combines this iconic body shape with a solid spruce top and ovangkol back and sides. Ovangkol, whilst tonally similar sounding to rosewood, offers a slightly ‘fuller’ midrange voice and this combines with the large, resonant body of the dreadnought design for a tone that will knock the socks off any listener! The solid spruce top adds top end clarity and finesse.
From their custom hand scalloped bracing to stylish cream body binding and concentric-ring rosettes, it’s clear that the Turner 40 series are quality instruments. They look gorgeous with their attractive ovangkol grain, offset pearloid fret markers, satin finished back and stylish gloss top. They also sound fantastic when amplified, with a state-of-the-art pickup system in the form of the Fishman Isys+ under saddle pickup and preamp (with built-in tuner). Fingerpickers and players with wider fingers will also find Turner Guitars easy to play thanks to their slightly wider than average 45mm nut which gives you a little more space between each string which is great for accurate finger placement and picking!
If you’re looking for an incredibly loud and full sounding electro-acoustic guitar which offers unparalleled tone and iconic looks at a stupendously good price point then don’t miss your chance to call in to Finale Guitar and try a Turner Guitars 40CE, along with the rest of the range (of which we have the largest selection available in the country!).
