Ibanez Gio Soundgear (black)

Ibanez’s Gio Soundgear PJ is a great beginner or intermediate bass with a lightweight, comfortable basswood body which makes long practice sessions a breeze. It has a very slim maple neck which will make life easy for players with shorter fingers. This bass has both a Precision style neck pickup, offering full, fruity tones perfect for funk, classic rock etc, and a brighter sounding Jazz bridge pickup which sounds great for pop, cutting through in a larger group etc. These combine with dual volume and master tone controls for a massive range of tonal options, which are easily achievable using the simple controls. The precise, reliable chrome geared machine heads mean you won’t have to worry about tuning stability. All in all this is a great sounding and feeling bass which gives beginners access to a wide range of genres while allowing them to focus on their playing rather than tinkering with the tone, retuning, struggling with a high action and so on!

This bass is generally in good condition and has been professionally set up for a comfortable playing action, accurate intonation across the fretboard and well-balanced pickups. There are a few small chips and scratches, most notably a chip on the front between the pick-ups and the dings to the headstock which are shown in the photographs. There are white marks on the underside and on one of the horns as well as a few scuffs on the side of the body and a chip near the bottom strap pin. These are all fairly minor cosmetic features and do not affect tone or playability.
