These outstanding beginner acoustic guitars are designed by UK brand Woodstock and manufactured to a very high standard in China. Their folk style bodies are fairly slim with a 10cm depth and 39cm lower bout which makes them very comfortable to play with young guitarists or smaller adult players. They have a stylish black finish on the back and sides with a spruce top to add bright overtones which really help these affordable acoustic cut through when playing alongside other instruments. The necks are fairly chunky, which gives a nice solid feel under the hands for beginners who are just starting out with open chord shapes. This also aids sound transmission, giving these guitars a rich and chunky tone in spite of their small-ish bodies and ultra low price. The unique headstock design and reliable chrome tuners also give them a classy aesthetic and reliable hardware, a cut above most sub £150 guitars!
Our guitars are also all given a full set up by Simon, the Finale Guitar technician and strung with light gauge steel core strings. This means that the action (gap between the strings and the fretboard) will be nice and low so that you can concentrate on getting the chords down without having to battle against impossibly high strings! The bronze wound strings give a bright, resonant tone and the light gauge means they’ll be easy to hold down for beginners. You will not get a setup included with most guitars you buy online meaning they’re difficult to play until you’ve spent more money with a luthier or guitar tech. At Finale Guitar we refuse to send out an instrument you can’t play straight out of the box, so all you need to do is unpack and play! All in all these are a superb beginner guitar- easy to play, easy on the wallet and easy on the ears! They would make a lovely gift, even if it’s for yourself.

I didn’t buy my guitar here, I bought it on ebay a few years ago, and was so amazed by the quality that I bought an electro-acoustic version by them straight after.
The guitar is lovely for the price – I have more than a dozen different guitars and have played for 50 years, so I’m not a newbie.
I strung my acoustic guitar with hi-strung/Nashville strings to give it a high, rich 12-string sound, and the guitar sounds great. It’s a regular in my studio when I want that 12-string sound but don’t want to tune up my 12 string.
Build and finish is lovely, action and set up was good right from the get-go.
My electro acoustic is just as lovely, although get very little use as I tend to mic up acoustics.
I am blown away by the quality of these low-cost guitars and would recommend them to anyone.

Hi Nick. Thanks very much for your review! I couldn’t agree more regarding the Woodstocks- they’re a great value instrument.
