Glenluce 14″ or 16″ tuneable bodhran

These superb tune-able bodhrans from Glenluce are perfect for beginner bodhran players who want a solid bodhran tone with loads of pitch variation available! They are made from mulberry wood with a single internal cross strut which is 3.5 cm wide with chamfered edges for comfort. The goat skin head can easily be tensioned with the 8 internal lugs. This means that your bodhran will always sound great, no matter the humidity or temperature levels! The allen key to adjust the tension is included along with a tipper. When choosing a size the main consideration will be the size of your hands and your (*ahem*) stature. Players with larger torsos/ chests may find a larger drum easier to hold and players with larger hands may benefit from the extra space afforded by a 16″ bodhran. That being said, the smaller 14″ bodhran is a little more tonally versatile as less pressure and smaller hand movements are required to create equivalent alterations in pitch and tone.
