PRICE DROP! Finale Firecaster – custom built 60s style heavy relic Strat

If you sit quietly in Finale Guitar (the friendly guitar shop, 621 Chesterfield Road, S8 0RX) for long enough, you may be lucky enough to spy the reclusive guitar tech Simon in his natural habitat. Lining his workshop nest with soldering irons, fret files, radius gauges and all sorts of other shiny odds and ends, this near-mythological music mogul is rumoured to pass his days lovingly assembling, repairing and even building guitars from scratch.

One day, we were surprised and delighted to open the front door of Finale Guitar and discover that this mysterious and unpredictable master of the stringed arts had ejected from his nest in the back room this fiery Strat! With alnico V pickups for a truly classic, chimey Strat tone and a heavy relic look to match its vintage sound you won’t believe that this guitar was made in 2021! The hardware is also suitably retro with a classy rolled steel bridge for great sustain and vintage style chrome tuners. The traditional Fender style dual tone knobs have been replaced with a single master tone and master volume (great for taming the brightness of the bridge pickup and a much more ergonomic design to avoid altering the volume by accident when you’re strumming!). You will also notice that there’s a little switch next to the bridge pickup. This allows you to add the bridge pickup to whatever setting you’re currently using, offering two new combos; neck and bridge or all three pickups together!

This gorgeous vintage Strat sounds superb with a classic snappy tone plus two fuller, more modern options thanks to its seven-way switch mod. It also plays fantastically with a comfortably low action and perfectly straight maple neck with hand shaped headstock. Not only that, it’s utterly unique and instantly eye and ear catching.
