Fernandes is a Japanese company which was founded in 1969 as a builder of flamenco guitars. As time went on they became incredibly well known for their extremely well made copies of the guitars of the company that starts with F and rhymes with Blender (who are surprisingly over-the-top about protecting their copyrights from being used in listings by small guitar shops!) and the Fernandes Burny line which produced incredibly good Gibson copies, called by many “the best replicas of early Gibsons on the market”. This line has recreated many classic models and this stunning singlecut is a prime example of everything that makes Burny one of the most highly regarded Les Paul clone options to this day.

This sleek and sexy singlecut has a solid mahogany body for rich, resonant tone and a maple top which adds top end clarity and snap. It has a set neck which gives it great sustain. We love the slim C profile neck which feels great for swift slides up and down the fretboard and combines with the jumbo frets and laurel fingerbaord for silky smooth bends. The hardware is modelled on vintage Gibson spec with attractive chrome tulip-head tuners and a high density stop bar tailpiece and Tune-O-Matic bridge for great tone transfer, intonation and sustain. The pickups are also an absolute joy to hear in action- two smooth, crisp P90s which absolutely roar when overdriven with a sound that is simultaneously smooth and snarling! Absolute class.
