Boss ME-80 (boxed)

Boss have been amongst the world’s best known effects pedal manufacturers since their foundation way back in 1973 and have produced a huge number of legendary stomp boxes including the BF-2 Flanger, CS-3 Compression Sustainer, DS-1 & 2 Distortions, CH-1 Super Chorus and many many more. In more recent years they have also become masters of digital effects emulation with their incredible COSM (Composite Object Sound Modeling) technology setting the bar for high quality digital guitar tone! Their ME line offer a complete pedal board in one portable powerhouse of a pedal with a vast array of effects and amp models available with simple, intuitive settings and a built in expression pedal.

The ME-80 features eight simultaneously layerable effects categories, each with multiple effects types to choose from. You can quickly dial in tones with the ease of using your favourite stompboxes, thanks to the knob-based controls and the bright LCD display. You can also switch between manual mode and memory mode, depending on whether you want to turn individual effects on and off, or recall complex patches with a single footswitch. The ME-80 includes a massive selection of top-quality effects, from classic Boss stomps to the latest digital modulation effects as well as a built-in looper and tuner function. There are also seven brilliant amp models which deliver realistic and dynamic tones for pretty much any style of music. The expression pedal can be assigned to control various parameters, such as volume, wah, pitch, effects depth and lots more.

As well as all this, the ME-80 has a built-in USB audio/MIDI interface, which allows you to record and edit your sounds on your computer without needing any other hardware. You can use the free Boss Tone Studio software to tweak and organize your presets, or download professionally made patches from the Boss Tone Central website which has thousands of free options created by top pro guitarists. This awesome pedal can be powered by 6x AA batteries but also comes with a wall plug included.

All in all this is a top tier pedal board of classic and modern electric guitar effects, neatly presented in a portable package with simple and intuitive controls! Cosmetically it’s seen some use and has a few scratches here and there (see closeups) but is in perfect working order. It also comes with its original box and power supply.
