A short review from Rob…
Behringer are well known for cheekily cloning great pedals designed by other manufacturers. This pedal is another classic cloning, this time of the Boss OC-2 Octave pedal. The price is going through the roof for the original, about £200 – £300… No wonder mine was stolen from the rehearsal room!
The Behringer UO300 Ultra Octaver Pedal adds more power to a guitarist’s tone by adding 2 additional tones. The UO300 offers tones that are 1 and 2 octaves lower than the original for a sound with extra punch. With dedicated volume controls for all 3 tones, guitarists can create their desired sound with ease whilst the 3-mode range switch delivers an excellent bass performance- bass players have widely used this effect too to go extra deep, or for a thicker sound when soloing.
With this pedal single-note riffs can become all you need for a hit record- Seven Nation Army anyone? You can create Moog Bass type sounds from a regular guitar. Put a fuzz or distortion pedal after this pedal for huge fat sounds, or add an auto-wah for maximum funk. As with the original this pedal is monophonic so don’t try playing chords through it unless you want weird things to happen (if you do want weird things to happen then go for it anyway!).
The pedal is powered via a 9-volt battery or DC power supply (sold separately), it comes with a box and has the user guide. The pedal is in excellent condition.
