These superbly built ukuleles from Barnes and Mullins use the popular Hawaiian tone wood koa for their bodies. This hardwood gives a direct mid-range tone with plenty of sustain and plenty of high end chime and clarity. Their large bodies give great bass to and plenty of volume and projection. The okoume neck is very nicely appointed with a Nubone nut which gives superb tone transfer. Nubone has also been used for the saddle, which combines with Aquila Nylgut strings for a bright snap when strumming and lots of sustain. The whole package is beautifully set off in a satin finish with mother of pearl binding and rosette decoration.
